Stuffed zucchini flowers

Tender courgette flowers (zucchini bush), hand-picked at dawn while they are still open, stuffed with rice and a blend of spices. One of the most popular tasty dishes in Crete.

Microwave Oven, remove cover and while still frozen, sprinkle water over them, cover and heat for 1½ minute(s).

Oven, remove cover and while still frozen, place on pan, lightly sprinkle with extra virgin olive oil and heat for 10 minutes in 180-200 ºC.

 

Courgette Flower (Zucchini Bush) stuffed with Mezeethra cheese and mint:

Frying pan, remove cover while still frozen, immerse in a slightly watery batter, shake off excess batter and deep-fry in hot oil until brown.

Deep freeze in -18 ºC for a year from date of production.
